Apple calls MobileMe launch a ‘rocky road’ – Technology Live – USATODAY.com
“We particularly regret to report the loss in the affected accounts of approximately 10% of the messages received between July 16 and July 18.”
Let’s face it, Apple has become Microsoft. It may used to work, but the bigger it gets, the more features it includes, the more it’ll become like Microsoft. Just like Firefox who had to tone down their latest version of the browser because the previous one was bloated with to many features and to much coding.

MobileMe Do Not Want
The iPhone suffers from the same. My little brick of silver goodness suffers from slowdowns and downright LAG in local functions, I’m not talking about networking here, just clunky software ever since I upgraded. I almost rammed my finger right through the phone because I had to tap the same button 5 or 6 times before the damn iPhone woke up and replied to the input.
And what a surprise I had when I setup my Exchange account that all my previous calendars and contacts were deleted and well this IS NORMAL for the process. Lucky me I back everything up.
All these fuck-ups don’t spell IT JUST WORKS, it spells JUST ANOTHER SOFTWARE.

Agreed, I have been using a touch since it came out and the new 2.0 update is a real POS. It hangs and the battery life has gone to hell. Still a cool toy despite being Apple.
Ça finit toujours par nous chier dans les mains, les bébelles techno!
I know you’re a PC guy so I won’t rail on you too much but I think there might be a crest in sight regarding the Mac fan-boys’ undying love cult. I think Apple’s biggest marketing mistake has been to build their brand as fads (ever since the iPod’s first release). Fads fade.
@Eric Don’t get me wrong I like my iPhone. I just don’t think it’s a godsend like the fanboys
@MPM Tout a fait. mes les mac-freaks semble penser les bebelles imbué de pouvoir magique.
@Jason. Maybe not fade, but people may realise that’s it’s just another option, not some godlike ubertoy. Hell even I went all gaga when I got my iPhone. There’s just something about the product. But in the end, just a machine and they breakdown and have bugs.
Wow! I didn’t realize people were having so many problems with the latest update. Yuck!
Being a Mac man since the early 90’s I’ve have to agree with you. The bigger they get the more they start to look like their bloated competition. The MobileMe debacle shows their weekness big time.
You had me at “Apple has become Microsoft.” Thank you.
