You come to work, go to the cafeteria – because I start at 1pm – and get some lunch and today is RIBS, succulent ribtastic ribs, but that’s not the cool part. You sit down and you are talking with co-workers you know the usual, artistic directors, clowns, accountants, immigration officers. You turn your head and sitting a few feet from you is a new co-worker: The madman creative genius, Robert Lepage. How cool is that? Just sitting there, eating. WTF? That was totally unexpected. He’s currently creating a new show for Cirque du Soleil… if he’s behind it you know it’s gonna rock the tent. I just remember Peter Gabriel’s Secret World and Growing Up tours… INSANE
Raving over.

Cool!!
I met him once, when I worked at CGI Cremazie!
I’m so glad that you love your job sweety! Hope you get a lot more smiles like this in the future!
I am jealous of your job!
At one of my old jobs, we had a cafeteria but the food wasn’t so great. However, one of my coworkers was friends with the chef, and the chef would make him these special meals just for him. So while the rest of us got to choose between greasy pizza and stale bread for lunch, he got grilled shrimp scampi, steak, and authentic Mexican cuisine.
I’m still bitter.
yeap, that’s my boss.
@MPM My job just gets funkier everyday… I live with clowns… come on.
@Dube we have 3 chefs that work at feeding us. We get some impressive stuff sometimes
@Vanou Your boss is my client/co-worker. Weird. Thgouh I’ll unlikely see him again. He was there to learn how we do things in a big top non-resident Cirque show.
*snort* “rock the tent…”
THREE chefs? Now I’m insanely jealous.
@Jon I like to stand outside the tent during the wheel of death. People go apeshit and it rocks the tent
@Dube. Shall I describe the menu? It goes from comfort food to 5 star eating. Depends on the evening and which chef is cooking. On premiere night, it’s like eating at a 5 star restaurant. We all go nuts, get drunk and barely show up the next afternoon.
You have a dream job! Although I might gain 100 pounds if I worked there, lol! I reread your post and caught the part about starting work at 1 pm. That’s really cool too.
Finish at 10 every night though. Take the good with the bad. But it’s a fun life. Nothing is normal, nothing is stagnant. It’s like being a teenager forever.
