Sweet! Congrats!
neat
Congrats dude! I had a picture of the Molson brewery published by NowPublic sometime last year as well (I can’t find the article now though). I like how they ask for permission. It’s a good feeling.
Thanks all
@JAY: Yes they don’t just rip it from Flickr which is cool of them. They get their picture and the photog gets the warm fuzzies to
Congrads sweety! See, told you your pics were fantastic!!! xoxox
Nice! But don’t let the professional photographers find out! I followed a thread through some pro photog’s blogs recently where they were referring to things like this as “scams” and complaining about how stupid people were to let these Web sites use their photos for free.
Pro dudes just don’t get it sometimes. I don’t know about you, but I’m under no illusions that my photography has me on a path towards success and riches as a pro photographer. Despite what those pros say “Web 2.0″ isn’t about ripping off photographers, it’s about contributing to a broad and free pool of useful information.
There’s still a role for professional photographers, but that role is changing, and those folks need to keep up with the changes.
Sorry for going off topic. Nice work!
Thanks. And yeah I’m aware. But I’m not about to go pro just yet. Getting a little click published here and there is just good fun and welcomed ego flattery and nothing more. Right now I’m just happy to get picked out of the bazillion of amateur photogs out there. Once my job gets more stable I’ll get time to study and wok on my photography and get better at it and maybe one day I’ll get to make some money off of it, maybe never. Who knows these things. We’ll just wait and see.
Thanks P’tit Moi
