Credible Cloverfield Monster Photo – HorrorMovies.ca

Here’s another interesting Possibility people on my myspace forum titled Cloverfield’s Monster Theories have been posting a picture of this monster who was created by Peter Konig who is Tippett’s art director for the upcoming, top secret JJ Abrahms production “Cloverfield”. Here is a link to the website from where this picture originated. http://www.conceptart.org. Don’t know how true it is but looks more closer to what I see in the trailer then that rancor wanna be.

The photo is below and frankly the fact it came from the art directors website is a pretty damn good indicator this may in fact be.. CloverField!

Personally I like the big tailed, multi-limbed more aquatic looking monster from the earlier potential draft.

Bah. Pretty silly looking monster. Classic dinosaur/lizard head on a bipedal frame. Nothing new there. Plus that one back-swept horn just looks like a birthday party hat, and the enormous upper boddy would make the creature awkward and always off balance.

I’m disappointed. I was really hoping the monster would be something we’ve never seen before, something really rattling.

BTW, that earlier potential one you link to is awesome. Now that’s something original!

My point exactly. I hope this interpretation was also an early model. Many people on forums and boards think this one looks like the Rancor from Return of the Jedi.

he cloverfield monster is a mutated human. in the new commercial “rats” for one or two frames you can see the monsters foot and it has toes. this explains why they made sure to obsucre the feet in the trailers, and this also would explain why it ripped off the liberty’s head and threw it at the city… a stupid animal wouldn’t do that.
