Dollhouse: Storytelling GOD Joss Whedon returns to TV and takes Eliza Dushku with him

Fox, Whedon in ‘Dollhouse’

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon is returning to television with “Dollhouse,” a new sci-fi project starring “Buffy” alumna Eliza Dushku that has received a seven-episode commitment from Fox.”Dollhouse,” from 20th Century Fox TV, is Whedon’s first TV project since his 2002 Fox drama “Firefly.”

The drama, whose license fee is said to be in the $1.5 million-$2 million-per-episode range, stars Dushku as Echo, a member of a group of men and women who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments. In between tasks they are mind-wiped, living like children in Dollhouse, a futuristic dorm/lab. They have no memories of their previous lives, until Echo begins to try to find out who she was.

“Joss has been my favorite friend, genius, ally and confidant in the business since I was 17,” said Dushku, who also will serve as a producer on the project. “It’s incredible how much energy and excitement I have for this; I can’t wait to be this Echo character.”

And now I shall go crawl under my desk, curl up in the fetal position and suck my thumb until the show’s premiere date.

Oh freakin’ awesome! You just made my day.
Plus, I get to say “Dushku” again which sounds a lot like “Douche Goo” in a funny way.

Ever seen the one episode of Global Frequency?

Woe Woe… thats a leap. Dark Angel was crud. The only thing that left it running so long was boys obsession with Jessica Alba bubble butt. You can be sure that a series with Joss at the helm will have creativity, not regurgitated crap.

I think you might dig it if you can find it (P2P is the only route I think). I could burn a DVD if you wanted to email me you address – that’s up to you.

Dark Angel?? I actually watched that more than once just to laugh at it!

Well I’ll try to torrent it over the week-end, see what happens.

I have the Pilot Episode of Buffy with a very fat Willow lol. It’s really bad. But it’s fun just having.

Cool – I didn’t want to assume that you’re cool with file sharing.

For not available stuff like unaired pilot episodes, I don’t mind so much. For commercial releases, like movies, it’s a different argument for me.
